Baptized here, I joined the church after confirmation in the early 70's. Rev. Paige Birdwell officiated at my marriage to my husband Kevin in 1985. Since my youth I have been a soloist and choir member, and I became choir director in the mid-80's. In addition I have served on the Diaconate and several church committees. I organized and continue to help run a Community Soup Supper Program to raise funds for the North Berrien Food Pantry. A handywoman, I lent my skills to the Randall Park Playground Project and Harbor Habitat for Humanity. A graduate of Western Michigan University, I have a Bachelor's in Music and a Master's in Elementary Education and am employed at Decatur Public Schools where I have been teaching elementary music for 24 years. I sing with the Lake Michigan College Concert Choir and also enjoy many outdoor activities, as well as sewing, cooking, photography, and reading." Suny Lopez, Organist/Music Accompanist COMING SOON |
