Sabbath Year Information
Here is information on our church's Sabbath Year Journey:
January Sabbath coming up soon: You’re invited to visit
other churches on  January 17th, 24th, and 31st
.

On the final three Sundays of January, we will not be holding worship services in
our sanctuary, but you may take that time to take a Sabbath from worship here
or to visit another local church you’ve always wanted to experience. You may also
join many of us as we carpool to visit the suggested churches below.  We will
gather at our church at the times noted below. You’re invited to check out their
websites to get a sense of their particular ministry.

As noted in last week’s letter from Sven, we are asking that people continue to
tithe as they usually do during this time, by either sending in their offerings to
the PO box listed on the back of the bulletin, or simply dropping it by the church.
On February 7, we will re-gather for a special worship service devoted to naming
our positive experiences from this Sabbath time and from our experiences at the
churches we visited. In addition, we will provide parishioners, who visit these
churches, with a form to record their experiences, especially the positive ones.

Ultimately, this a chance for us to trust in God by resting for a few weeks from
155 years of weekly worship, and to learn from the best of other worshipping
communities.
